What I Look For in a Guy...

I don't recommend being picky, but it never hurts to have standards. I feel like having standards could keep you from making a big mistake with the wrong guy. Ever date a guy, breakup, think back, and ask yourself, what was I thinking? Well, you can change that.

Start by sitting down with a pencil and a piece of paper and ask yourself, what do I look for in a guy? Then, make your list.
Don’t overdo it! You don’t want to make this impossible, do you? Because if you think “Mr. Perfect” is out there, you’re wrong. Be realistic with your choices and you won’t get let down.
Don’t under do it! You’re not looking to fall in love with any regular Jo Schmo, are you? Think about what is important to you, in life and what your morals or values are. (Does he believe in the same thing as you?) Chances are, this guy isn’t going to meet all of your criteria, but knowing what you are looking for is better than just settling for anything. Also, it could save you from regretting another relationship!

Below is my list of things I look for in a guy:
1.      Funny
2.      Humble
3.      Easy Going
4.      Beautiful (inside and out)
5.      Intelligent
6.      Good with children
7.      Fun
8.      Caring
9.      Nice smile
10.  Appreciates and respects me

What’s your list?

P.S. If you're not sure what to look for in a guy, I recommend you check out this blog!

My Song of the Month.

The song for this month was originally sung by Ingrid Michaelson and Sarah Bereilles, but was later covered by a newly discovered band, The Soldier Thread, currently on tour with Blue October and a Vh1 You Oughta Know Artist, Alpha Rev.

My Song for May is...

Winter Song -The Solider Thread Ft. Alpha Rev

This song is a little bit older and even though it's not winter, I can still feel the emotion in the song. Sometimes, when you miss someone you love, it feels like winter as if winter wasn't just a season but a state of mind. Winter, being cold, could represent the absence of a loved one which is the opposite of summer and having the warmth/love of that one special person.

I chose the cover over the original because I not only love the Solider Thread since I saw them with Blue October this past week, but also because I believe that this song is sung better with both a male and female singing. It also gets the point across better.

Melanoma Skin Cancer.

The above video has nothing to girls, boys, or even love, but it's something I wanted to share. If you go tanning, or even spend more then 15 minutes outside in the sun with no sun screen on to protect your skin, then you could be at risk for skin cancer. Please, don't be afraid. Be careful and safe. Be aware. Look for the signs. Like if you get a random mole, or a mole you've already had turns colors, shpae, or size.

The Rules of a Gentleman

This blog I found as a partner site to "Etiquette for a Lady". It's pretty much the same thing, but the rules are for the men, not the women.

"The Great Gatsby"

I am reading this book called; "The Great Gatsby", in my American Literature class and so far it's super good. You can check out the book's overview by clicking on the link below.

I think what really attracts me to the book is that I can somewhat relate to Jay Gatsby. He isn't the main character but the book is about him and he's love for Daisy Buchanan who is married to the biggest jerk ever, Tom Buchanan. He gets super rich and throws all these parties and does all these things hoping Daisy would notice him and fall in love with him again. I say “again” because they have a past together. A past, in which, Tom wants to recreate.

I haven’t finished the book yet so I don’t know if he gets the girl, but I will keep you posted. All I know is that Daisy secretly loves Gatsby back. I hope that’s the case for me too… L

I hate falling the most because it hurts.
But until I hit the ground
I’m gonna enjoy it for what it’s worth.
